BOTOX® Cosmetic is Botulinum Toxin A used to for the temporary improvement of moderate to severe wrinkles of the face. It has been used over a decade and functions by relaxing the muscles that it is injected into. It is generally used to treat frown line between the eyebrows, forehead lines, crow's feet around the eyes, bunny lines on the nose, smoker's lines around the mouth and dents in the chin. It can be injected on the lateral side of eyebrows, giving the eyebrow a lift. Similarly, it can also be used to raise the corners of the mouth. The effect of BOTOX® Cosmetic is seen within two weeks and it may last up to 3 to 4 months.
BOTOX® Cosmetic can also be used for migraine headaches and works very well for excessive sweating of the armpits and hands.
